Falcon Enamelware is made from a porcelain enamel, which is a powdered glass bonded onto steel. If a product is dropped/hit against something, the porcelain will chip as it is just glass fused onto metal. The metal core will never break but chips cannot be avoided.
The products should be treated with the same care as glass and porcelain. All of the materials used in Falcon Enamelware products are non-toxic and are still safe to use even in the event of the enamel chipping and exposure of the steel.

How can I clean my Falcon Enamelware?
Lemon juice can remove stains from enamel products, such as tea stains on mugs. Soaking the products in warm soapy water helps to remove baked food, but avoid using abrasive sponges or brushes as it may scratch the surface. Covering your pans in a light layer of oil before cooking can help with cleaning after use.
If my product has lost some enamel, can it still be used?
Yes. Like all other ceramics, the outer porcelain layer can be chipped if it is dropped and then reveals the steel underneath. When this happens, the steel oxidizes naturally and the enamel product is still safe to use. Plus, in our opinion, it gets a little more character.
