Grandpa x Laura Thornhill Caswell

Laura Thornhill Caswell is legendary in the world of skateboarding. Recruited to Logan Earth Ski after winning the first place in slalom and freestyle at Steve’s South Bay Skate contest in '75, Laura went on to become the first female skater ever to get her own signature skateboard. She was also the first female skater to get a "Who's hot" in the Skateboarder Magazine and the first girl to get a full-feature interview and a centerfold in the magazine. Laura first started to skate when she moved from Dallas to California in ’74 and throughout the 70's she won almost every women’s competition. The photos of her "One Footed Nose Wheelie" and "Hair Spinning 360" are classic when documenting this era.
